A native of Atlanta, Georgia with anointed hands, ShekinahJo is not just defined as a hair stylist. She is a professional hair stylist that specializes in hair coloring, extensions, dread locks, natural and healthy hair.

On her journey to becoming an A-list celebrity hairstylist, she pursued an apprenticeship program with Platinum Hit Salon in downtown Atlanta and then her cosmetology education at Empire Beauty School in Dunwoody, GA.   This young lady has trained with many of Atlanta’s top stylists.  She accredits their support and guidance to her current success. Working under these individuals allowed her to not only perfect her ability to coloring hair, but also enhanced her natural ability to weaving hair.

 

ShekinahJo, began her career at the tender age of 12!  By the time she was 14, she realized it was her passion to make women more beautiful.  ShekinahJo fabulous styles has been featured in Hype Hair, XXL, Sister 2 Sister, Vibe and Essence Magazines. Her work has been featured on the reality show, “Tiny and Toya” as well as photo shoots for both BET and VH1.  ShekinahJo will debut on the upcoming reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” on VH1 December 2011.
